Gregory Group Coronation celebrations

Given we had the privilege of inviting the then Prince Charles to Gregory Group in 2019 to celebrate our centenary, we felt it only fitting to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty The King & Her Majesty The Queen.

Our celebrations in 2019

In 2019 Gregory Group celebrated our 100th anniversary. The company has come a long way since Archie Gregory began the business in 1919, and the centenary celebrations were a fabulous reminder of our heritage.

The day included HRH The Prince of Wales unveiling a commemorative plaque placed on a Gregory liveried 1919 Ford Model T Ton Truck. The truck had been lovingly restored and now proudly lives in the Gregory Heritage Centre.

Our celebrations in 2023

To mark the Coronation we are promoting the official Coronation Big Lunch and The Big Help Out. Inspired by The Big Help Out, we have also launched an employee Volunteer Policy to further encourage volunteering.

And for some light-hearted fun, that involves the whole family, we have launched the Gregory Group Coronation Colouring and Artwork Competition.

The competition is open to everybody (you don’t have to be linked with Gregory Group) and there are two competitions to choose from:

1) The Gregory Group Coronation Colouring Competition
Children up to the age of 13 are invited to colour in the Gregory Coronation picture. There are three age categories, with a prize up for grabs for each. The age categories are; Under 6, 7-10, and 11-13.

2) The Gregory Group Coronation Artwork Competition
More suited to those who prefer being less confined by the lines of a prepared image, this alternative competition is open to all ages – children and adults alike. Using the prepared sheet on page 2 of this PDF, you can create an image of your choice that represents both the Coronation and Gregory Group.

How to enter

Once you have chosen the competition you, or your child, would like to enter, print off the relevant sheet here, review the Terms and Conditions, and get creative. Entries must be received by Wednesday 10th May.

A couple of additional key points to note:

  • The winners (three winners for the Colouring Competition and one winner for the Artwork Competition) will receive a Gregory goodie bag which includes a Gregory bear, Gregory lorry stress toy, pen, and Coronation themed gift.
  • For both competitions, your artwork must be completed on the sheet provided.
  • Only one entry per person across both competitions is permitted. Therefore, you must choose which competition to enter. You cannot enter both.
  • For details on how to enter, and the full terms and conditions, please refer to the third page of this document.

We look forward to seeing your creations!
